Our Mission:
Carolina Pregnancy Center is a non-profit,
inter-denominational ministry,
which seeks to serve Jesus
Christ:
By offering a "hope and a future" to those touched
by a possible crisis pregnancy, demonstrating the love
of Christ to the woman, her unborn child, and those
significant to her.
By providing life giving alternatives to the local
community.
The Vision:
Serving Jesus Christ
The Carolina Pregnancy Center (CPC) is founded upon
faith in Jesus Christ as the source of life and love.
Board members, staff, and volunteers endeavor to
demonstrate the love of Christ by sharing His gospel with
clients and the community whenever possible.
Offering hope and a future*
The CPC is committed to affirming life and assisting
women to carry their babies to term through practical
assistance, emotional support, and spiritual
encouragement. The CPC is also committed to offering
support in the areas of life-style counseling, Christian
parenting, and healing from past abortions.
Providing Life-giving Alternatives
The CPC is committed to providing outreach to churches
and to the community by sharing life-style counseling and
abstinence education programs through curriculum,
literature, media and public speaking.
* "For I know the plans I
have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and
a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and
pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek
Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your
heart. I will be found by you,' declares the Lord."
Jer. 29:11-14
Our History:
Carolina Pregnancy Center (CPC) was established in 1984
after a group of concerned Christians from the surrounding
area met to create a resource fro women who were
experiencing untimely or unwanted pregnancies. Their goal
was to provide peer counseling, supportive services, and
alternatives to abortion.
In 1986, Carolina Pregnancy Center chose to affiliate with
the Christian Action Council as our advisory and umbrella
organization. Now called Care Net, it is a network
of over 850 crisis pregnancy centers throughout the
country. Care Net was founded by nationally
respected Christian leaders such as Dr. C. Everett Koop,
Dr. and Mrs. Billy Graham, and Dr. and Mrs. Harold O. J.
Brown. CPC has also recently chosen to affiliate with
NIFLA (National Institute of Family & Life Advocates) a
national organization similar to Care Net. Both of
these highly professional organizations offer Carolina
Pregnancy continuing education, written materials, a
national hotline, legal counsel, etc. CPC is, however, an
autonomous, incorporated non-profit with its own Board of
Directors.
Volunteers:
As a non-profit, we rely heavily on volunteers. We
currently have approximately 12 volunteers serving on a
weekly basis at the Center, with many more involved in our
different fundraising activities during the year. Click here for volunteer opportunities.
