Basic Volunteer Training

This is spread out over 6 sessions, it is approximately a 21 hour course.

"For the Body is not one member, but many." I Corinthians 12:4

The advancement of the ministry of Carolina Pregnancy Center depends on the members of the Body of Christ becoming His servants to do His work. Volunteers are the cornerstone of our mission.

Is God calling you to be:

His Mouth. Speaking His truth and mercy at the Center:
• Peer counselor* (Volunteer committed to complete basic training and willing to work a 4 hour shift weekly.)

• Assist in Medical Clinic with ultrasounds* (Certified Tech)

• Post Abortion Facilitator* (Help with post-abortion peer counseling on an individual or group basis.)

• Receptionist* (Answer the phones and schedule appointments.)

• Parenting Class Teacher* (Team teach 1 hour sessions for eight weeks, twice a year.)

His Hands. Preparing items for His children, and lending a helping had to others who serve:
• Child Care Provider - Baby sit our client's children while they attend our Christian parenting classes.
(Criminal record check required)

• Provide refreshments for parenting classes, volunteer trainings, and other special events.

• Clothes closet volunteer - Maintaining baby clothes room.

• Office Administration Volunteer - Help with bulk mailings, other office duties periodically when needed.

• House beautification - Help keep the office clean, simple maintenance.

His Arms. Reaching out to the community in His name, involving the Church:
• Church contact*  Keep you church informed about the events of CPC - Working to involve others.
(2 meetings per year)

• Baby shower/layette ministry - Initiate these events in your church or Ladies groups.

His Eyes and Feet. Seeing the need and bridging the gap between services and resources.
Development and Fundraising Opportunities:
• Banquet Committee (Late Summer, Fall)

• Walk for Life Committee (Spring)

• Baby Bottle Fundraiser (January - March)

• Golf Fore Life (Summer) - Play or serve on committee.

His Heart. Interceding for this ministry regularly:
• Commit to pray for Carolina Pregnancy Center on a weekly basis.

• Our Basic Volunteer Training will be offered once or twice a year depending on interest. The training is required for those who will have direct client contact.
