Basic Volunteer Training

This is spread out over several sessions, it is approximately 21 hours in length.

Is God calling you to be:

His Mouth. Speaking His truth and mercy at the Center:
• Peer counselor* (Volunteer committed to complete basic training and willing to work a 4 hour shift weekly.)

• Assist in Medical Clinic with ultrasounds* (Licensed Sonographer)

• Post Abortion Facilitator* (Help with post-abortion peer counseling on an individual or group basis.)

• Receptionist* (Answer the phones and general duties.)

• Parenting Class Teacher* (Team teach 1 night per week for eight weeks, spring and fall.)

His Hands. Preparing items for His children, and lending a helping had to others who serve:
• Child Care Provider - Baby sit our client's children while they attend our Christian parenting classes.
(Criminal record check required)

• Provide refreshments for parenting classes, volunteer trainings, and other special events.

• Clothes closet volunteer - Maintaining baby clothes room.

• Office Administration Volunteer - Help with bulk mailings, other office duties periodically when needed.

• House beautification - Help keep the office clean, simple maintenance.

His Arms. Reaching out to the community in His name, involving the Church:
• Church contact*  Keep you church informed about the events of CPC - Working to involve others.
(2 meetings per year)

• Baby shower/layette ministry - Initiate these events in your church or Ladies groups.

His Eyes and Feet. Seeing the need and bridging the gap between services and resources.
Development and Fundraising Opportunities:
• Banquet Committee (Late Summer, Fall)

• Walk for Life Committee (Spring)

• Change for Life (January - March)

• Golf Fore Life (Summer) - Play or serve on committee

• Celebrate Life Banquet (fall) – serve on committee

His Heart. Interceding for this ministry regularly:
• Commit to pray for Carolina Pregnancy Center on a weekly basis.

• Our Basic Volunteer Training is offered at least once per year and more if there is sufficient demand. The training is required for those who will have direct client contact.
